Christmas is a time for family and friends to come together for one guilt free day of indulgence. But before we pull out the tinsel and holly, Christmas is a time for menu planning.
Food SA, PIRSA and the Adelaide Central Market have a special Christmas surprise just for you. Learn how to prepare three sensational courses of Christmas fare with a modern South Australian twist - using local food products.
With less than an hour of preparation time, our Christmas made SA easy cooking class will help ensure you won't have to spend the entire day in the kitchen.
Come and join Paul Wood and guest SA food producers and stallholders in the Adelaide Central Market kitchen on Saturday 1 December 2012, for an interactive class to create this easy menu that will impress even the fussiest of family members.
After a tour of the Adelaide Central Market, you will help cook these three courses and then sit down to a delicious Christmas tasting.
Entree: Smoked ocean trout side with honey glaze, caperberries and fresh herb and noodle salad.
Main: Kumquat, camembert and proscuitto stuffed turkey breast roll with sides.
Dessert: Panforte with honey ice-cream, and traditional Christmas pudding with spiced fruit in brandy.
Regional and Seasonal is showcasing local producers and products to consumers through demonstrations, recipes and classes at the Adelaide Central Market from October 2012 through to June 2013.
